HISTORY

Modern Piping was founded in 1939 as a refrigeration service company, Modern Refrigeration. In 1962, Modern Refrigeration merged with the Puth Company, a plumbing contractor, thus creating Modern Piping.

Since 1966 the current ownership has directed the company through economic expansion as well as the difficult economies of the past. Our financial strength and management longevity provide an invaluable resource to the industry. In 1983, Modern Piping Service Division became a Linc contractor, thereby extending even greater benefits to our customers. In 1987, our service division won the prestigious Linc Contractor of the Year Award.

We have earned our honest and trustworthy reputation by standing behind our product and service 100%. Modern Piping has completed projects from New York to California. Our commercial projects range in size from 2,000 to 1,200,000 square feet. Our client base is varied and includes hospitals, educational institutions, food processors, power plants, and Fortune 500 companies. More than 85% of our business is repeat or referral – a strong testament to the dedication and integrity we pledge to maintain.

Due to continued success, Modern Piping opened additional offices in Dubuque in May 2001 and in Minneapolis in May 2003.
